Client First Settlement Funding Gives Back To Wellington Elementary School

Consistent with its philosophy of contributing to the community, the structured settlement funding company has sponsored students Hannah and Charlotte Ostrov at Wellington Elementary for the school walkathon.

BOCA RATON, Fla. – May 18, 2010 Public schools across the nation are cutting programs and curriculum, but with the support of company donors, one elementary school in Boca Raton, Florida is building programs through its Wildcats on Safari walkathon. Seeing an opportunity to help students in need, Client First Settlement Funding volunteered to sponsor two students in the walkathon for the elementary school.  

Client First Settlement Funding helps owners of structured settlements and self-owned annuities by providing alternative financial options. Hannah and Charlotte Ostrov’s father is a legal counsel for the company.

The Wildcats on Safari walkathon is an annual fundraiser that pays for an entire year’s worth of academic activities. It raises money for fine arts programs, equips the science lab and fills other needs for classrooms, teachers and playgrounds. Sponsoring individual students in the walkathon directly aids the school, which raised a total of $22,000 with the event.

 “We love doing things like this for the community,” said Maria Fregosi, chief operations officer of Client First Settlement Funding. “It only makes it better that we have a personal connection to the school. When that happens, you feel like your money is directly helping people you are connected with.”

For Client First Settlement Funding, a structured settlement funding firm, the earthquake has hit home on a personal level, and it is taking action to help the Haiti relief effort.

Westman Senat, a researcher for Client First Settlement Funding and a native Haitian, today left for Haiti along with a team of seven to bring needed supplies into the suffering country. This past week, the structured settlement funding company collected clothing and food donations from employees. Senat's family currently lives in Haiti, and he hopes to reunite with them.

"My mom is okay. One of my brothers pulled her out before the house collapsed. Two of my brothers who live in Delmas are okay, but the one who lives in Petion-Ville is nowhere to be found. Please keep Berno Senat in your prayer," Senat said.

Due to the chaotic situation at the local airport, traveling in and out of Haiti is problematic. Senat and his team plan to meet two doctors in Santo Domingo where they will cross the border on the Bahona South side of the Dominican Republic to Haiti. While in Santo Domingo, the relief team will purchase supplies with the donated funds from Client First Settlement Funding.
